The Orchestra has registered with easyfundraising, a way of shopping and searching online and making money for the orchestra at the same time.

It is totally FREE. You still shop directly with each retailer online as you would normally, but by registering the orchestra as your cause and using the links from the easyfundrasing site first, each purchase you make will generate a cash donation to the orchestra.

There are over 600 Brand Name retailers including WH Smith, John Lewis, Amazon, O2, Argos, Dixons and Comet. Even Tesco give a one off £5 if you shop for groceries on line. To raise funds you must be registered and use the links from the easyfundraising web site to get to the retailers sites.

Registering is easy. Visit their web site http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ and click on the red register as a user button. In the charity/organisation box, type in City of Coventry Youth Orchestra and press the search button. Click on the box beside the orchestra's name. The rest of the information needed is your name, e mail address and a password. Our unique URL is http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/cyo and you’ll be directed there when you next log on.

There is also an easysearch function which gives us money every time you use their search engine. They claim 10 searches each day would raise around £20 a year“ that would be nearly £1000 for the orchestra if everyone used it. Again we have a unique URL http://cyo.easysearch.org.uk and once you log on you should end up there.

This does seem to be an excellent opportunity and I ask you to give it your support by registering now. If you have any doubts or questions, I suggest you firstly have a look at the Q&A on their web site and if that does not give you the answer you want, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
